How I Feel ‘Bout This Boy October 8, 2008

She can’t see the way your eyes
Light up when you smile
She’ll never notice how you stop and stare
When ever she walks by

And you can’t see me wanting you
the way you want her
But you are everything to me

And I just want to show you
She don’t even know you
She’s never going to love you
Like I want too
And You just see right through me
If you only knew me
We could be a beautiful miracle
Unbelievable, instead of just invisible

Yeah,

There’s a fire inside of you
That can’t help but shine through.
She’s never gonna see the light
No matter what you do

And all I think about
Is how to make you think of me
And everything that we could be

And I just want to show you
She don’t even know you
She’s never gonna love you
Like i want too
And you just see right through me
If you only knew me
We could be a beautiful miracle
Unbelievable, instead of just invisible.

Like shadows in a faded light
We’re invisible
I just wanna open your eyes
and make you realize
I just want to show you
She don’t even know you
Baby let me love you, let me want you.

You just see right through me
But if you only knew me
We could be a beautiful miracle,
Unbelievable, instead of just invisible.

TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK

There was one day over the summer that was especially fun. Britt asked me if I wanted to go to the movies with her and so I asked my mom and she said yes so we went. On the way to Show-low we had three different kinds of music going. Britt and Sheila had both of their iPod’s volume up full blast and on top of that their dad had the radio going. Of course my sister had to tag along so she was just sitting in the back seat trying to figure out what to do because she doesn’t have an iPod.
It took about half an hour to get there and when we got there the movie we were going to see, Indiana Jones, was sold out. We went to see Iron Man instead. Iron man was good I thought but the movie isn’t the reason I’m telling this story. What we did after is.
So we get back and we still have popcorn and candy so we snack on that for a little bit then me and Britt take her dog Shasta on a nice long walk. We get back, Shasta is worn out, and we go upstairs and put Britt’s iPod on it’s dock and turn the volume up almost all of the way. No one yells at us to turn it down so we leave it that way.
Sheila and my sister are in the other room doing the same as we are. We can hear their music. Thing is they took my camera and for bout twenty minutes were videoing themselves being idiots. That part was only funny if you were there. I still have the video though and I watch it every now and then just because I can.
Well it’s bout 11:00PM now and we’re not wearing out yet. We turned the music down a bit though but that was only so we could play truth or dare. We should have just called it truth because we chose truth every time. Now it’s about 12:30AM and at this point we are really hyper. We are overtired and most things seem funny right now. Now it’s about 3:30-4:00AM and were finally wearing out just a little bit. I remember that I had got up to go to the restroom and tripped over the iPod dock’s cord and of course we thought it was funny. We couldn’t get it plugged back in either so that was the end to the music. We were laughing so hard at this point that it was unbelievable.
That night was one of those nights when you are so overtired that everything is extremely funny. I had so much fun that night and it probably wont seem funny to you because you weren’t there. We finally fell asleep on the floor and woke up to Britt’s dad yelling up the stairs, “Wake up and come down stairs I got donuts!”

ACADEC September 30, 2008

This is my ACADEC speach and was curious if any of you no matter who you are could possibly read it and tell me what you think?????

The Viola

There are many different kinds of stringed instruments. In a general orchestra there are four different kinds. The violin, cello, bass and the viola. The viola in particular is my favorite. It is a unique instrument much different from the violin. At that not many people even know that the viola even exists.  The viola is larger and it has a deeper tone. I think that it is more eye-catching and beautiful. A great deal of early composers didn’t like the viola they said that it was uncomfortable to write for. The first violas were believed to have been made in the 1400s. Many violinists think that the viola is too big and awkward to hold and they don’t like how much harder you have to press on the bow to make the sound emerge. All in all a lot of people don’t like the viola even though it is a magnificent instrument.

A large number of famous composers played the viola and enjoyed it. Composers such as Beethoven, Bach, Britten, Dvorak, Haydn, and Mozart all played the viola. They were all also brilliant composers and wrote beautiful music that string musicians still play today.

String musicians have a strong connection to their instruments.  Instruments are musicians’ way of expressing their feelings and mood. A string musician is nothing without his or her instrument. There was a man once about a year ago in New Jersey and he had a really expensive violin. It was a 285 year old instrument and costed about four million dollars. It was this artist’s instrument (a Stradivari in particular) and he really missed it. He had left it in a taxi cab and wasn’t sure if he’d ever see it again. He got his violin back though and played a private concert for all of the taxi cab drivers.  Another man with another violin did something similar. This man was a Grammy-nominated violinist and he left his four million dollar Stradivari in a New York City cab. When he tracked down the taxi it was in and saw the violin case he dropped to his knees and cried tears of joy. A musician is nothing without an instrument. Another man in London left a 17th century violin on a train. This one cost about four hundred thousand dollars. It was made in 1698 by a very famous violin maker in London. After he got off of the train he realized that the violin was still in the luggage compartment in the train. He said that the violin belonged to his mother and he was offering a twenty thousand dollar reward for the return of his violin.  Musicians are very attached to their instruments they mean a great deal to them.

Viola makers experimented a great deal with the size and shape of the viola. They experimented for many years and that’s how we got to where we are today with the viola. A man named Otto made a cut out viola and I think that it was absolutely stunning. The right side was cut out into a half circle. This cut out made it easier for a violist to shift up into higher positions. A lot of players liked Otto’s cut out violas and many even preferred them. Otto would make violas upon violas and they wouldn’t all be perfect, but he would learn from his mistakes every time. He didn’t care what kind of wood it was and he liked to experiment. His biography states that one time a friend of his pointed out a plank of wood on the ground and he turned it in his hand a couple times. Within days it was a beautiful viola that was used by the principal violist of an orchestra. The two nail holes were hidden by the finger board. He made quite a few violas and most of them are still in use by proud musicians. His wife said that one time on their anniversary he took a can of beans and emptied all of the contents and took the can into his work shop after saying, “You will look especially beautiful tonight.” A few hours later he came out with a beautiful necklace that he made with that tin can. That is what makes a true musician and a true artist: the ability to be able to make something beautiful out of nothing.

Eat out thy heart, O Cello proud,
And Violin, go don thy shroud.
Pray Saint Cecilia’s mercy mild
Forgive thy up and downbows wild,
For she in sacred restitution,
Bless’d VIOLA’S contribution,
Paying IT the compliment
Of genius’ favored instrument.
Mozart, Schubert, Dvorak, Britten,
All for orchestra’s have written.
Hear, O Man, and earth rejoice. .
VIOLA played they all BY CHOICE!

Well I Haven’t Posted in a LONG TIME June 22, 2008

Filed under: Breaking Dawn, Twilight — twilightermidnightervampire @ 6:38 pm

Well I am not sure if anyone is even reading this blog but that doesn’t mean anything i don’t care I read the first chapter of Breaking Dawn and it was awesome they haven’t posted the whole thing online but i will put in this post what they have put online here it is:

ENGAGED

NO ONE IS STARING AT YOU, I promised myself. No one is staring at you. No one is staring at you.

But, because I couldn’t lie convincingly even to myself, I had to check.

As I sat waiting for one of the three traffic lights in town to turn green, I peeked to the right – in her minivan, Mrs. Weber had turned her whole torso in my direction. Her eyes bored into mine, and I flinched back, wondering why she didn’t drop her gaze or look ashamed. It was still considered rude to stare at people, wasn’t it? Didn’t that apply to me anymore?

Then I remembered that these windows were so darkly tinted that she probably had no idea if it was even me in here, let alone that I’d caught her looking. I tried to take some comfort in the fact that she wasn’t really staring at me, just the car.

My car. Sigh.

I glanced to the left and groaned. Two pedestrians were frozen on the sidewalk, missing their chance to cross as they stared. Behind them, Mr. Marshall was gawking through the plate glass window of his little souvenir shop. At least he didn’t have his nose pressed up against the glass. Yet.

The light turned green and, in my hurry to escape, I stomped on the gas pedal without thinking – the normal way I would have punched it to get my ancient Chevy truck moving.

Engine snarling like a hunting panther, the car jolted forward so fast that my body slammed into the black leather seat and my stomach flattened against my spine.

”Arg!” I gasped as I fumbled for the brake. Keeping my head, I merely tapped the pedal. The car lurched to an absolute standstill anyway.

I couldn’t bear to look around at the reaction. If there had been any doubt as to who was driving this car before, it was gone now. With the toe of my shoe, I gently nudged the gas pedal down one half millimeter, and the car shot forward again.

I managed to reach my goal, the gas station. If I hadn’t been running on vapors, I wouldn’t have come into town at all. I was going without a lot of things these days, like Pop-Tarts and shoelaces, to avoid spending time in public.

Moving as if I were in a race, I got the hatch open, the cap off, the card scanned, and the nozzle in the tank within seconds. Of course, there was nothing I could do to make the numbers on the gauge pick up the pace. They ticked by sluggishly, almost as if they were doing it just to annoy me.

It wasn’t bright out – a typically drizzly day in Forks, Washington – but I still felt like a spotlight was trained on me, drawing attention to the delicate ring on my left hand. At times like this, sensing the eyes on my back, it felt as if the ring were pulsing like a neon sign: Look at me, look at me.

It was stupid to be so self-conscious, and I knew that. Besides my dad and mom, did it really matter what people were saying about my engagement? About my new car? About my mysterious acceptance into an Ivy League college? About the shiny black credit card that felt red-hot in my back pocket right now?

”Yeah, who cares what they think,” I muttered under my breath.
